As the emergency mitigation/ relief coordinator, I have been working with our health project staff to come up with a plan to address and monitor the situation of the Influenza Pandemic and how it could affect Peru and the communities we work with. While this disease has not yet appeared to have a severe impact in Peru, please pray that this pandemic will be short-lived and remain less virulent, and that our efforts would be effective in helping communities be prepared and know how to respond to the potential threat.
